Do you have a 9th-generation iPad with 64 GB of storage that you’re no longer using? Would you like to help out folks striving for a better life in Nicaragua? If so, read on.
As many of you know, I have been working with a great US-based nonprofit focused on Water, Health, and economic development for over 15 years. I love the work these folks do, and some of you have been on trips down there.
I got an email from Robert Bland, who works on IT issues down there, and his program needs iPads, since the ones they have are, in some cases, 10 years old. Here’s what he said:

Hey Bill,
Thanks again for taking the time to chat. I really appreciated getting to pick your brain.
Following up to recap what we discussed. We’re looking to get 30 iPads for the schools to use to teach graphic design and help students become more familiar with Apple’s system.
We’ll also need 16 iPads for our promoters. These would replace some older devices that no longer last a full day and cover the needs of new promoters we’ve brought on this year.
Should be around $6,500-$8,500 if they were purchased used.
For specs, we’re hoping for:
-iPad 9th generation or newer
-At least 64GB of storage
Let me know if there is any other information you need.
Thanks again, and looking forward to chatting more this year,
Robert

And check out their recent videos about the school and their recent accomplishments! The videos aren’t some far-off fundraising appeal from a nondescript nonprofit. These are places I have been to and lived in.
